Worshipful Master's Welcome
WM Derek Herbert
Welcome to the official website of Orange Valley Lodge #13. We are grateful for your visit and invite you to explore our pages to learn more about our rich history, our founding principles, and—most importantly—the meaningful work we carry out in our community and throughout the surrounding counties.
My name is Derek M. Herbert, and I have the honor of serving as the Worshipful Master, the presiding officer of our lodge. I previously served in this elected role from 2019 to 2021 as Past Master, and I remain deeply committed to the growth, excellence, and service that define our brotherhood.
Since becoming a Prince Hall Master Mason on March 20, 2019, this journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. There is no greater fulfillment than uplifting others—whether supporting those who are unhoused, assisting individuals facing hardship, or simply making someone’s day a little brighter through service and compassion.
Thank you again for visiting Orange Valley Lodge #13. We encourage you to reach out for more information about our programs, community initiatives, and opportunities for membership in our distinguished lodge.
Fraternally,
Worshipful Master & Past Master
Derek M. Herbert

The purpose of Prince Hall Freemasonry is to help good men become better ones. This is accomplished through mutual support, instruction which is often in the form of time honored traditions, and by working collaboratively with others to make our community a better place for all society.
Masonry is not a religion. There is nothing in Freemasonry to interfere with a man’s religious life. Persons of all faiths and Christian denominations are a part of the worldwide Masonic fraternity. Religion and politics are two subjects not allowed to be discussed when a lodge is in session.
